State University system in United States


There are over US universities, (also known as 美国大学) the State University system plays a major role. They are supported by an individual state or a similar entity such as the District of Columbia. These systems constitute the majority of public-funded universities in the country. Each state supports at least one such system. This article will introduce three different State universities,

Stony Brook University (纽约州立大学石溪分校)

The State University of New York at Stony Brook,commonly known as Stony Brook University located in Stony Brook, New York, East of New York City on Long Island. In 2018, U.S News& world report ranked Stony Brook University as 80th overall among national universities and 32nd among public universities. It is a famous research-oriented public university in the United States and enjoys a high academic reputation worldwide. Stony Brook University has many excellent scholars, and its teaching quality and research results are internationally renowned. Since its establishment in 1957, it has brought up a number of famous people, including three Nobel Prize winners and the Fields Prize, the Wolf Prize and the Abel Prize winner John Milno. The unique teaching system of Stony University has made its graduates widely acclaimed for their knowledgeable and creative thinking skills.

University of California, Berkeley (加利福尼亚大学伯克利分校)

University of California, Berkeley, also known as UC Berkeley is a top-ranked public research university in the United States. Located in the city of Berkeley. It was founded in 1868 and serves as the flagship institution of ten research universities affiliated with the university of California system. Berkeley is one of the most important research and teaching centers in the world. ARWU Science ranked first in the world, engineering and computer ranked third in the world, humanities and social sciences also ranked among the top 5 in the world. It is also one of the freest and most inclusive universities in the United States; the “freedom of speech movement” initiated by the students in 1964 has had a profound impact on American society, changing the political and moral views of generations.

Michigan State University (密西根州立大学)

 Michigan State University (MSU) is a public research university in East Lansing, Michigan founded in 1855. In 2017, U.S. News University ranked 78th in the world. ARWU World University ranks 92nd in the world. The school ranks among the top four in the communication major including international and multicultural communication, mass communication and interpersonal communication. The majors in the primary and secondary school education are ranked first in the United States, and educational management ranks second in the United States. They rank top 20 in international finance, marketing and other business majors.
